How to skip nudity and sex scenes on Disney+

Why Disney+ parental controls are not enough

Ratings apply to a whole title. A film rated for adults might contain two minutes you want to avoid across a two-hour runtime, and a maturity lock simply removes the film from the profile entirely.

Editing tools and browser extensions do not work on phones, smart TVs or casting, which is where most Disney+ viewing actually happens.

The approach that works on any device

Look up the title in No more before you press play. Each title page lists which categories are flagged: nudity, sex scenes, suggestive content and profanity.

Start the companion timer at the same moment you start the film. The timer runs independently of Disney+, so it works on a TV, a laptop, a projector or a phone.

Twenty seconds before a flagged scene, you get an on-screen alert and a sound telling you the exact timestamp to skip to. The sound cuts out ten seconds ahead so it never talks over dialogue.

For swearing, turn on the mute option and No more tells you when to mute and when to unmute instead of skipping.

Watching on a phone

Install No more to your home screen, or use the phone app build, and the timer keeps running in the background with alerts on the lock screen. You can watch Disney+ full screen in another app at the same time.

Alerts still sound if the screen turns off, so nothing is missed during a long film.

Watching with family

Set the alert lead time so whoever holds the remote has enough warning to skip comfortably rather than fumbling.

If a timestamp is slightly off for your version of a title, submit a correction from the title page. Corrections are voted on and verified by other viewers.
